Terence Lau, MAOn Psychotherapy...Terence Lau, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist*, is an LGBTQA+ affirmative, trauma-informed therapist who has worked in the mental health field for nearly 20 years. His recent clinical experience has been honed at the Los Angeles Center for Drug
and Alcohol Abuse, Partnerships to Uplift Communities, and The Peacock Foundation, where he served the diverse populations. In addition to helping individuals overcome their difficulties with depression, anxiety, and PTSD, and more, he specializes in supporting LGBTQA+ individuals explore their identities in addition to treating co-occurring disorders. He is trained in trauma-focused CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT for couples and mindfulness based stress reduction. He uses Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to restore a sense of peace and well-being. |
Terence holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Buddhist Psychology at the University of the West.

When not practicing psychotherapy, Terence enjoys traveling the world and connecting with others. He can be found reading, cooking, hiking, and volunteering in the community.
