Kala Carrick, LMFT
On Psychotherapy...Kala Carrick is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)*. She is interested in working with adults who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. She draws from her clinical experiences with individuals coping with severe mental diagnoses, veterans, and high-risk youth. She has worked on multiple research studies on mental health.
Kala brings her understanding of the whole health model from both a clinical and research perspective. She is a firm believer of the mind, body, and spirit connection. She uses humanistic, cognitive therapies, relaxation and mindfulness techniques, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in the exploration and healing process. |
In her own words...
“In my work, I honor the resiliency and strength of every client I meet. We are not broken or damaged by our experiences, but rather, we are adaptable, and motivated biologically and psychologically for self-preservation. Our work together will be to uncover and reprocess the patterns that no longer serve you and polish your innate strengths that will lead to a life of balance, peace, happiness, and success."
